After years of pre-construction planning and budgeting support, Delmarva has broken ground on another major project in our home base of Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Equipped with our new John Deere Smart Blade dozers, a fleet of Hitachi excavators, Terex hauling trucks, and a full lineup of heavy machinery, we’ve taken on unexpected challenges head-on—including the removal of over 20,000 cubic yards of buried debris. Despite this, Delmarva has stayed ahead of schedule, moving so efficiently that we're ready for construction to begin before the final building plans are even complete. This project reflects our readiness, adaptability, and strong roots in the region we call home.

Located in Brandywine, Maryland, this 56-acre development presents significant geotechnical challenges due to the saturated ground conditions. To establish a stable building platform, Delmarva has been asked to raise the site elevation by up to 22 feet, requiring over 600,000 cubic yards of engineered fill— delivered through the coordinated effort of approximately 40,000 dump trucks. Currently in Phase One, our team is managing complex logistics, soft soil conditions, and scheduling demands with precision. Through careful planning and strong supplier relationships, Delmarva continues to advance the project efficiently while preparing the groundwork for long-term success.

Spread across 233 acres and developed in three phases, The Business Park showcases Delmarva’s expertise in large-scale commercial construction. As a trusted subcontractor for ARCO, we’ve worked seamlessly alongside a vast team—6 contractors on-site—to meet the project’s aggressive timeline without compromising quality. The site features numerous individual lots and extensive utility infrastructure, all installed with Delmarva’s signature efficiency and coordination. A standout element is the massive underground stormwater detention facility, measuring 22 feet deep and capable of holding over 1.2 Million (1,228,241) gallons of water, requiring the excavation of 17,000 cubic yards of soil. This project reflects our confidence, capability, and commitment to excellence in complex commercial environments.

Spanning over 300 acres in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, Locust Hill is one of Delmarva’s largest and most complex projects to date. The scope includes the movement of over 3 million cubic yards of earth, two large culverts, and the implementation of over 24 sediment traps. This project is a clear demonstration of Delmarva’s ability to manage large-scale development with precision, efficiency, and expert coordination.
